Lower Paxton Township is the 13 th largest municipality in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania home to 53,500 people of divers racial, ethnic, and socio-economic makeup and is located about six miles from Harrisburg. One (1) adult on scene suffered minor injuries as a result of the fight and was treated on scene by EMS.Īt this time, no arrests have been made. Lower Paxton Township is a township of the second class in Dauphin County. This was not a random act and there is no known threat to the public as a result of this incident. Officers learned this incident was the result of an ongoing altercation (verbal and physical) between juveniles, which then escalated on this date and involved both juveniles and adults. There is no evidence of anyone being shot or suffering a gunshot wound. Officers received information of one (1) shot being fired and officers recovered one (1) handgun on scene. Several other individuals involved were still on scene, remained on scene, and are cooperating with investigators. Upon arrival, officers learned that a fight did occur and group of individuals had already left the area in unknown / multiple directions. Moments later, additional information was received that possible shots were fired. On at approximately 7:05 PM Lower Paxton Township Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Locust Lane for a report of individuals fighting outside. ![]()
